We are the strategic layer that connects capital, technology, and execution across East Africa's EPC and infrastructure sectors.
Brian Kagyezi Investments Ltd (BKI) was founded with a clear conviction: Uganda and East Africa's industrial growth story demands local firms that can operate to global standards — firms that can sit at the table with Bechtel, Worley, and SNC-Lavalin and match them on quality, precision, and strategic depth.
We are not an engineering contractor. We are a strategic enabler — the advisory, digital, and delivery layer that makes EPC projects succeed. We fill the critical gap between the global contractor and the local reality: the gap in digital systems, procurement capability, bid management, and investment structuring.
From our headquarters in Kampala, we serve oil & gas operators, government ministries, development finance institutions, and infrastructure investors across Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and the broader East African corridor.
Every engagement we take is built on one principle: deliver outcomes that can be measured, verified, and defended in a board presentation or a due diligence process.
Founded in Kampala with focus on digital systems for government clients.
First oil & gas engagement — systems integration for upstream field operations.
Development of Custom Software Solutions for the Ministry of Health.
Expanded to investment advisory — first DFI-aligned infrastructure mandate.
Procurement automation platform managing $120M+ in annual EPC procurement.
Strategic expansion: Kenya and Tanzania advisory; ISO 9001 certification pathway.
The strategic layer that connects capital, technology, and execution — helping African nations build their industrial future without dependence on foreign advisory at every step.
To enable EPC projects, infrastructure development, and industrial investment to succeed across the African continent — measured by outcomes, not activities.
We are positioned across all five phases of EPC project delivery — not as a contractor, but as the strategic enablement layer that makes each phase succeed.
Market intelligence, feasibility advisory, investment structuring
Digital systems, document control architecture, procurement setup
Procurement automation, document management, systems integration
Data handover, performance dashboards, documentation packages
Asset data management, digital twins, performance analytics
This distinction matters. BKI does not compete with the engineering contractors we serve — we complement them. We are the advisory, digital, and bid capability that sits alongside Bechtel, Worley, KBR, and their local partners, helping them succeed in the Uganda and East Africa market.
For government clients and investors, we are the strategic interface — the firm that understands both the local regulatory landscape and the international standards that capital and contractors demand.
Brian is a senior practitioner with 12+ years of experience spanning EPC project support, enterprise software delivery, and infrastructure investment advisory across East Africa. He has led major digital transformation engagements for oil & gas operators, government ministries, and international development organisations in Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania.
Brian founded BKI with the conviction that Africa's industrial sector needs local firms that can operate at the highest levels of quality and strategic sophistication — bringing global standards without the mobilisation overhead, cost premiums, and knowledge gaps of foreign advisory firms.
Whether you have an EPC project, a government programme, or an infrastructure investment — we have the capability to help.
